Definitely got me interested in the Downside series. The ending was adorable and it totally won me over. I picked this up at the library because I’ve enjoyed writing by Patricia Briggs and Charlaine Harris, and have a book waiting to be read by Melissa Marr, all of uome are featured in this book.

I’ve read a lot of these UF story anthologies at this point. Published August 2nd by Ace first published August 1st Just the right amount of effed up and creepy. I needed my Chess and Terrible fix in a bad, bad way!

I found the mentions of Jewish culture interesting, although there were way too many specific references for my taste Whole Foods, specific brands of items, restaurants in the LA area, etc. Maybe it was just that the subject matter lent itself to more interesting inprovement, or that I actually didn’t recognize some of editin authors meaning there’s some new blood in there and thus had no expectations, but I don’t think there was a single stinker in the batch.
