To be frank, there was almost no world building at all. I loved the role it played in the development of Ana’s character and her relationship with Sam.
He helps her get to Heart, where problems arise immediately. Overall, I felt no kncarnate or compassion for any of the characters in this book, including Ana to some degree for other reasons I won’t go into.
