However, the most recent edition came out inand I have to imagine that there’s been a significant amount of research in the area of stretching and sports training since then. Stretching Scientifically Thomas Kurz stretchlng reviews: Ok that picture scientifical,y very exaggerated, but you get the point.
It is worth noting that the book is quite old, so newer discoveries in the field will not be documented. The book begins with scientidically short primer on the anatomical principles that underpin stretching before launching into subsequent sections on each type of stretching.
I have done yoga for a while now, but the approach here is a bit different not so much on static and long holds for flexibility and just after one week of following the recommended morning stretches, I am seeing and feeling the positive impact.

What do you feel is incorrect about Kurz’s approach? In some ways the test is useless as most people under the bell curve can obtain a decent side split. A key foundation of martial arts and in fact many sports is flexibility.

Probably skimmed parts of it.
Highly recommended for people who want to improve their flexibility through simple but effective routines and may want some addition to static yoga stretches.
