His world is yet again turned upside down, as he meets the Partisans a small, independent group that oppose the Nazi’s and sabotage Nazi trains, houses etc. A really well written book, very gleitzmsn but also it feels like there is hope for Felix, and if anyone can escape or survive it will be him.

Storytelling has been his shield and survival strategy. I wish Gabriek had some weapons to help him escape. The thing I loved most about this book is that throughout most of it, Felix has an uplifting and optimistic personality. This is a very rich look at how libroo politics of WWII played out with children. The little boy loves to tell stories and does so throughout almost the entire book.

Therefore, as an educator, it becomes very hard to find quality books that will knock my students around emotionally the same way Night by Elie Wiesel did the first time I read it in high school. It has the right balance of being childlike but not annoyingly so.
